Job summary

Julie’s Biscuits in Malaysia is seeking a marketing/business-oriented professional to drive new product initiatives and packaging development. You will execute development plans, monitor artwork workflows, and prepare product specifications while gathering competitive packaging insights.

The role requires strong planning, multitasking, and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with additional Mandarin being a plus. Based in Alor Gajah, Melaka, local travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Business related or equivalent.
• Knowledge in graphic design is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Responding to company initiatives by driving new products to meet customer needs.
2. Executing the product development plan and deliver the projects on time.
3. Providing input and key support in new product development plan.
4. Working collaboratively across product and functional groups to manage and monitor packaging evaluation.
5. Managing product information such as improvements, new application and product obsolescence.
6. Involving in new and revamped product concept brainstorming meetings.
7. Monitoring the interdepartmental artwork checking process flow.
8. Preparing and update Product and Packaging Specification.
9. Researching and gathering competitive insight on packaging.
10. Others responsibilities as assign by his/her superior.

Qualifications and Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have:

• Possess at least a minimum Diploma or Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Business related or equivalent.
• Preference will be given to a candidate with relevant working experience.
• Knowledge in graphic design and possess any equivalent certification is a strong plus.
• Be creative, innovative and strong sense of arts.
• Strong attention to details.
• Good planning, time management, scheduling and multi-tasking skills
• Good interpersonal, coordinating and communication skills.
• Able to anticipate heavy workload and issues during peak periods to meet close deadlines while maintaining a positive work attitude.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and also as team player where frequent collaboration across functional teams is necessary.
• Good communication skills (oral and written) in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and knowledge in Mandarin is a plus.
• Computer-literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and relevant software applications be an added advantage.
• Willing to work in Alor Gajah, Melaka.
• Willing to travel and possess own transport
