Job summary

YSQ International is seeking a Sourcing Executive to oversee daily procurement activities in Malaysia. You will source, evaluate vendors, and ensure cost-efficient supply within budget while collaborating with the purchasing team to monitor delivery schedules and adherence to specifications.

• Minimum diploma or degree in Engineering (preferable Mechanical, mechatronic, Chemical).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a strategic sourcing position.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to sourcing manager to source and evaluate new vendors for supply of identified materials for company’s portfolio of business.
• Able to negotiate with new and existing vendors to ensure supply of material in most cost-efficient manner within agreed price target and budget.
• Working closely with purchasing team to track and monitor delivery of purchased items within agreed schedule and confirm delivery of items per agreed specifications by respective vendors.
• Conduct monthly / periodic review of existing vendors, provide, negotiate, and execute recommendations to ensure vendor performance on pricing, quality and delivery.
• Provide support to management in reviewing and recommending sourcing / procurement policies including use of appropriate tools to meet company’s evolving business needs.
• Review and provide recommendations to management for the materials needed.
• Handle the daily activity while re-established workflow and cross training of team members.
• Develop analysis tools with system to enhance job and intensify control and continuous improvement.
• Fully co-develop and implement subcon control and tracking with Batam planning team.
• Driving cost reduction project with monthly report and action items

The incumbent must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
