Job summary

Sunway Retail is seeking an Operations Assistant Manager/Manager/Operations Head to oversee mall operations and tenant relations in Subang Jaya. The role focuses on ensuring tenancy compliance, coordinating housekeeping, and maintaining data privacy standards across the site.

The candidate will inspect outlets, escalate issues to senior management, and prepare reports for tenants and internal stakeholders, while upholding Sunway policies on information security and data handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, management, commerce or equivalent.
• Engineering degree can be considered.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

To assist the Operations Assistant Manager/Manager/Operation Head in responsible for the overall operational concerns of the mall.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Inspects retail outlets in the Shopping Mall and maintains good professional relationships with tenants.
2. Escalating issues and problems to Assistant Manager/Manager of Operations when necessary.
3. To work closely with the Housekeeping department in ensuring the Shopping Mall is kept at tip top condition.
4. Assists in inspecting the setup and operations of retail outlets in the Shopping Mall to ensure adherence to Tenancy Agreements and statutory requirements.
5. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with Tenants of the Shopping Mall.
6. Effectively presents information and responds to Tenant’s enquiries in detail.
7. Handles complaints and any dissatisfaction expressed by Tenants or customers.
8. Controls the use of corridors in front of shops by tenants.
9. Manages tenants’ schedules for delivery of goods from the loading bay to their respective outlets.
10. Prepare relevant correspondence letters, e-mails and reports to Tenants.
11. Any other tasks or duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
12. Understands and applies all policies implemented by Sunway to any personal data received, used, transmitted, processed, or stored.
13. Ensures that personal data is not disclosed to any unauthorized third party without obtaining clearance from the Information Manager, or the PDP Officer.
14. Complies with all Sunway policies in relation to the Act and assists the Information Manager in any personal data protection matters.
15. Ensures that consent is obtained from the data subjects whenever personal data is collected and the personal data protection notice is always served to the data subjects upon collection of their personal data.
16. Reports any enquiries/complaints in relation to personal data and data security breach incidents to the Information Manager immediately.
17. Ensures that all personal data is protected from any physical damage and from any unauthorized access, alteration, removal, or destruction according to the Personal Data Protection Security Policy.
18. Reports any actual or suspected data security breach and violations to the Information Manager as soon as possible.
19. Provides full co-operation to the PDP Officer upon an internal audit or investigation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Minimum Bachelor Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, or equivalent. Engineering relevant degree can be considered.
2. Preferrable having relevant working experience.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
