Job summary

Deutsche Post in Malaysia is seeking an Executive, Ocean Freight to assist general operational ocean freight tasks and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. You will monitor export/import movements, arrange transport, and prepare essential documentation such as bills of lading and shipping documents.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, good communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to general operational ocean freight functions and coordination with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Monitor and coordinate export/import ocean freight movements—booking, transport arrangement, vessel and container movement.
• Prepare documentation for customers—booking, bill of lading, CO/FTA, shipping documents, invoicing.
• Coordinate routine customer reports and customer platforms.
• Maintain records and filing in compliance with ISO requirements.
• Respond to internal inquiries and coordinate with other departments on ocean freight needs.
• Monitor internal data and system compliance.

Job Title - Executive, Ocean Freight

Provide assistant to general operational ocean freight functions

• General correspondences with customer, suppliers (Carrier, Warehouse, Transporter) agents and other inter-department for ocean freight movements
• Monitor and coordinate export & import ocean freight movements – Booking, Transport arrangement, vessel & container movement,
• Prepare relevant documentation for customer – Booking, Bill of lading, CO/FTA, Shipping document, Invoicing
• Coordinate routine customer reports & any customer’s platform
• Maintain records and filing as per ISO requirements and standards
• Respond to internal enquiries and complaints and coordinate with other department on ocean freight needs
• Monitor internal data & system compliance
