Job summary

A logistics company based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the end-to-end transportation of goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing export/import documentation, scheduling shipments, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations. Ideal candidates should hold a diploma or degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management and possess proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with prior experience in logistics.

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Previous experience in shipping, forwarding, or warehouse logistics is usually required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, verifying, and managing full-set export/import documents.
• Scheduling shipments and coordinating with carriers.
• Serving as the main contact for clients regarding shipment status.
• Ensuring adherence to customs regulations.
• Updating Million Software systems and monitoring stock availability.

Job description

Coordinates the end-to-end transportation of goods, managing documentation (BL, invoices, custom declarations), booking cargo space, and liaising with freight forwarders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Documentation: Preparing, verifying, and managing full-set export/import documents (e.g., Bill of Lading, Packing List, Certificate of Origin) to meet regulatory compliance.
• Logistics Coordination: Scheduling shipments, booking vessel or freight space, and coordinating with carriers and forwarders to meet customer orders.
• Customer & Vendor Service: Serving as the main contact for clients regarding shipment status and negotiating freight rates to reduce costs.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensuring adherence to customs regulations, preparing documents for custom declarations.
• System Management: Updating Million Software systems and monitoring stock availability to align with shipping schedules.

Requirements

• Education: A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), knowledge of shipping software/ERP systems, strong communication, and negotiating skills.
