Job summary

DKSH Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Inventory Management professional to lead planning and optimization across the supply chain in Selangor, Malaysia. You will develop inventory plans, monitor turns and push for efficiencies in procurement, warehousing and distribution.

You will drive S&OP and Supply Review activities, work with cross‑functional teams, and guide process improvements to enhance service levels and KPI performance. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a managerial capacity.
• Understanding of S&OP process and Supply Review component.
• Experience in inventory planning methodologies and systems.
• Familiar with distribution centers, distribution and transport.
• Proven experience in inventory management, procurement systems and logistics operations.
• Knowledge of SAP and Net Requirement/Distribution planning.
• Experience in consumer goods, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop inventory management plans, policies, guidelines and processes to ensure inventory is planned at optimal level to meet target turns and demand.
• Key contributor to overall Supply Review process.
• Drives continuous improvement in inventory supply planning results through the use of systems and cross-functional processes.
• Leads process reviews and projects in the Supply planning review area resulting in improved efficiencies and KPI metrics (DOH, DOFC, NOC days, SLOB).
• Demonstrates knowledge of the key drivers of inventory and its impact on warehousing and distribution capacity and financial reporting.

Job description

Manages inventory to optimal levels for target turns, working capital, and revenue; drives KPI improvements in inventory management.

What You Will Deliver

Key contributor to overall Supply Review process

Manage and develop inventory management plans, policies, guidelines and processes to ensure inventory is planned at optimal level to meet target turns and demand.

Manage and monitor cost and efficiency improvements for inventory management to achieve the optimal level of inventory holdings versus fulfilment

Optimizes inventory levels delivering on customer service targets in response to demand changes and employ an appropriate strategy for each inventory class

Implements strategic and tactical plans to develop/improve process in order to improve inventory levels.

Drives continuous improvement in inventory supply planning results through the use of systems and cross-functional processes

Demonstrates knowledge of the key drivers of inventory and its impact on warehousing and distribution capacity and financial reporting.

Leads process reviews and projects in the Supply planning review area resulting in improved efficiencies and KPIs, key metrics such as gross and net inventory, Days on hand (DOH), and Days of Forward Cover (DOFC), NOC days, SLOB.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field

Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Minimum three to five years’ experience in a managerial capacity

Demonstrate understanding and working of Sales & operation Planning (S&OP) process

Demonstrate understanding and working of Supply Review component process of the overall S&OP

Demonstrate experience in of inventory planning methodologies and systems

Demonstrate capability of adapting to different inventory planning strategies

Demonstrate working understanding of distribution centers, distribution and transport

Proven experience in inventory management, procurement systems and logistics operations

Demonstrate working knowledge of SAP and Net Requirement/Distribution planning

Proven experience in the consumer goods, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries

Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills

Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in internation/cross-cultural interactions

Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (eg. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
