Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a meticulous Contract Executive to support our client’s large-scale industrial projects. You will assist in procurement and tendering, and help appoint consultants, contractors, and service providers to ensure smooth project execution.

You will also review fee submissions, manage variation orders, monitor costs and budgeting, and support final settlements and reporting while ensuring strict SOP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in contract administration, cost management, or quantity surveying.
• Experience in industrial property, infrastructure, or large-scale township projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Procurement and tendering: assist with end-to-end procurement and appointment of consultants, contractors, and service providers.
• Contract administration: review fee submissions, claims, variation orders, and other contract matters.
• Cost control and budgeting: monitor project costs and contract commitments to minimize financial risk.
• Financial settlement: support progress payments and final accounts for consultants and contractors.
• Reporting and compliance: prepare commercial reports and ensure SOP compliance.

About the Company

Our client is a prominent, highly established industrial property developer currently spearheading a landmark, large-scale industrial land and infrastructure project in Malaysia. As they continue to expand their footprint and drive high-value developments, they are seeking a meticulous and driven Contract Executive to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing commercial, procurement, and contractual functions to ensure seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Tendering: Assist in end-to-end procurement and appointment of consultants, contractors, and project-related service providers (including tendering, rigorous evaluation, awarding recommendations, and contract preparation).
• Contract Administration: Review and evaluate consultant fee submissions, additional fee claims, contractor claims, variation orders (VOs), and other critical contractual matters.
• Cost Control & Budgeting: Closely monitor project costs, consultant fees, contract commitments, and overall budget performance to minimize financial risks.
• Financial Settlement: Review progress payment recommendations and assist in the smooth settlement of consultant final fees and contractor final accounts.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare accurate commercial reports, formal approval papers, and provide ad‑hoc support on contractual and cost-related matters while ensuring strict compliance with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Experience: 2-3 years of working experience in contract administration, cost management, or quantity surveying, preferably within the property development or main contractor sector.
• Sector Exposure: Prior experience handling industrial property, infrastructure, or large-scale township projects is highly advantageous.
