Wangsa Holdings Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur City Centre is seeking an experienced Executive Chef cum Operations Manager to lead culinary and operational teams, delivering exceptional dining experiences while ensuring profitability and high standards.

The role combines creative direction of the kitchen with day-to-day management, including budgeting, inventory, scheduling and staff development, in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of professional culinary experience, with 3-5 years in a supervisory or chef de cuisine role.
• Proven experience managing kitchen operations, including budgeting, inventory control and staff management.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and local regulations.
• Advanced culinary skills with expertise in multiple cuisines and cooking techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience motivating and developing culinary teams.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking capabilities to manage both creative and operational responsibilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff at all levels and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing innovative menus whilst maintaining consistency and quality standards across all dishes.
• Leading, training and mentoring kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety standards and culinary techniques.
• Managing kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering, budgeting and cost management to optimise profitability.
• Overseeing scheduling, staff rostering and performance management for both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and health codes.
• Collaborating with management to develop operational strategies and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts to ensure quality ingredients at competitive prices.
• Monitoring food costs, labour efficiency and other KPIs to drive operational excellence.
• Ensuring exceptional presentation and quality standards in all dishes that leave a lasting impression on guests.
• Responding to guest feedback and adjusting service delivery to continually enhance the dining experience.
