Job summary

Euro Staffs in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary department across multiple outlets. The role is full-time and on-site, reporting to the Group Director of Food and Beverage, with responsibilities spanning setup, team development and ensuring top-tier quality, safety and commercial performance.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in a senior culinary role within hospitality, ideally in a five-star hotel or multi-outlet operation, with pre-opening

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Culinary Arts is preferred.
• Proven track record in a senior culinary role within hospitality.
• Background in five-star hotel or multi-outlet operation strongly preferred.
• Pre-opening or new kitchen setup experience would be a significant advantage.
• Experience handling Halal certification processes and maintaining Halal-compliant operations would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of menu development, food costing, inventory control and kitchen systems.
• Sound knowledge of HACCP and applicable food-handling regulations.
• Strong leadership, training, planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening setup and day-to-day operation of all hotel kitchens.
• Develop kitchen workflows, SOPs, menus, recipes, equipment needs and inventories.
• Recruit, train and prepare culinary team for readiness.
• Lead preparation for Halal certification and ongoing compliance.
• Ensure halal and food-safety standards in ingredients, handling and storage.
• Collaborate with Hotel Halal Committee and other departments during audits.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste and presentation.
• Develop innovative, commercially viable menus and promotions.
• Manage costs including food, labour and kitchen budgets.
• Monitor purchasing, inventory and vendor approvals.
