Job summary

KiN Hospitality Management Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary department across multiple outlets. You will set up operations, develop the team, and deliver top-tier food quality, safety, and commercial performance.

The successful candidate will oversee pre-opening activities, menu development, cost control, and HACCP compliance while collaborating with F&B and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in senior culinary role within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of menu development, food costing, inventory control.
• Experience with Halal certification and halal-compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening setup and day-to-day operation of hotel kitchens.
• Develop workflows, SOPs, menus, recipes, equipment needs and inventories.
• Recruit, train and prepare the culinary team for readiness.
• Lead Halal certification preparation and ongoing compliance.
• Ensure halal handling, storage and documentation meet halal requirements.
• Collaborate with hotel committees and departments during audits.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste and presentation.
• Develop innovative menus and promotions with commercial viability.
• Manage costing, pricing, and kitchen budgets.
