1. LED Display Installation & Signal Setup
Frame & Structure Rigging: Assembling ground support frames, base trusses, or hanging fly-bars according to precise weight and height specifications.
Cabinet Mounting: Interlocking individual LED panels, securing quick-locks, and ensuring seamless module alignment to eliminate visible gap lines on the display surface.
Power & Data Cabling: Daisy-chaining power jumpers and etherCON/CAT6 data cables across cabinet columns or rows based on port capacity limits.
Processor Configuration: Connecting main fiber or SDI runs from control switchers to LED processors (e.g., NovaStar), mapping cabinet coordinates, and checking for dead pixels or color uniformity issues.
2. Sound System Installation & Wiring
Speaker Placement: Positioning main front-of-house (FOH) speakers, subwoofers, and stage monitors (or flying line arrays on truss structures).
Audio Distribution: Running heavy-duty speaker cables, multi-pair snakes, and balanced XLR/DMX runs from digital stage boxes to power amplifiers and main consoles.
Microphone & Wireless Setup: Mounting wireless receiver antennas, setting up podium/lapel mics, and running frequency scans to avoid RF signal interference.
System Power-Up Sequence: Turning on control surfaces first, followed by DSPs and amplifiers, to prevent damaging speaker drivers with startup pops.
3. Stage Lighting Installation & Addressing
Truss & Bar Mounting: Clamping moving heads, LED pars, profile lights, and wash bars onto lighting trusses or floor stands, followed by securing safety bonds/steel cables.
DMX & Power Routing: Daisy-chaining powerCON loops and 3-pin or 5-pin DMX lines back to DMX splitters or nodes.
Addressing & Universe Patching: Setting digital DMX start addresses on each fixture to match the patch list on the lighting console.
Physical Focusing: Manually angling static fixtures, adjusting shutter blades, and setting beam angles to illuminate stage areas evenly.
4. Integrated Testing & Cable Management
Cable Dressing: Tidy-wrapping all visible cable runs with gaffer tape, using rubber ramps over floor pathways for safety compliance.
System Alignment: Running a synchronized test run with test patterns on the LED screen, pink noise through the sound system, and a fixture check across all lighting universes to verify everything operates reliably before showtime.
