Job summary

UL Solutions in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Environmental, Social and Health Safety (ESHS) professional to lead due diligence, monitor compliance, and support lenders and project teams. You will assess biodiversity, climate and social risks, review compliance, and deliver practical recommendations to reduce risk.

Minimum 5 years' ESHS experience is expected, with a degree in Environmental Science/Engineering and strong English communication. Some travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant ESHS experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Familiarity with local EHS regulations and permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review project documents and ESHS management plans against international standards.
• Conduct environmental and social due diligence per GIIP and World Bank guidelines.
• Assess risks and prepare ESHS input for due diligence and monitoring reports.
• Monitor ESHS compliance during construction and operation.
• Provide practical recommendations to improve project ESHS performance.
