Job summary

Nutrivo Dairy Industry (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Environmental Officer to ensure factory activities comply with the Environmental Quality Act 1974, DOE regulations, licence conditions and environmental requirements. You will monitor the Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) and manage schedule waste documentation.

The role requires knowledge of Malaysian environmental legislation, practical IETS experience, and good communication and coordination skills to liaise with authorities and

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Practical knowledge and experience in industrial effluent/IETS and scheduled waste management.
• Knowledge of Malaysian environmental legislation and DOE requirements.
• Familiar with eSWIS and environmental documentation.
• Experience dealing with DOE/JAS, laboratories, consultants and licensed contractors is an advantage.
• Experience in food, dairy or other food manufacturing industries is an advantage.
• CePSWaM and/or relevant environmental competency certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Good communication, documentation, problem-solving and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure factory activities comply with the Environmental Quality Act 1974, applicable DOE regulations, licence conditions and environmental requirements.
• Monitor daily operation and performance of the Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS).
• Handle schedule waste management by managing, monitoring, coordinating and preparing any required documentation.
• Monitor environmental requirements related to boiler and other air emission sources.
• Work with Maintenance and relevant personnel to address abnormal emissions or pollution-control issues.
• Conduct environmental awareness training for employees.
• Liaise with related authorities such as DOE/JAS, laboratories and others.
• Prepare and maintain related documentation for waste water system and effluent, schedule waste, inspection and others.
