Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an entry-level Field Support Engineer (L1) to deliver remote and on-site technical support for clients. You will handle standard, low-complexity incidents, follow established processes, and escalate to L2 when needed.

The role emphasizes proactive incident management, SLA adherence, and seamless handovers for shift continuity. Hybrid workplace and collaboration with client IT environments, carriers, and colleagues are central.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
• Associate level certification in Data Centre technologies (e.g., Cisco, NetApp, EMC) is a plus.
• Associate level certification in Networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNA, JNCIA, ACMA) is desirable.
• Collaboration certifications such as CCNA Certification and MS Skype/ Webex calling related certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line remote and onsite technical support to clients.
• Manage incidents and ensure timely updates with progress and resolution details.
• Liaise with client environments and vendors to expeditiate diagnosis and resolution.
• Follow handover procedures for shift continuity and maintain SLA adherence.
• Log and track incidents, apply standard practices, and escalate when needed.
