Job summary

Lam Research is seeking an Engineering Technician in Kulim, Malaysia, to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems. You’ll reference schematics and run tests to troubleshoot and isolate faults, helping determine remedies and improve engineering systems.

In this role you will directly contribute to resolving day-to-day PM/test related issues and collaborate with engineers to gather data and validate designs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in electrical/mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of related work experience.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to other Test Technicians, troubleshoot issues, and perform rework.
• Test and troubleshoot system- and component-level electrical/mechanical problems.
• Inspect materials and measure circuitry with electronic test equipment and instruments.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Support design, construction, test, and checkout of test equipment.
• Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, and diagnostic equipment for tests.
• Collaborate with development engineers on engineering tests and data collection.
