Job summary

Lam Research in Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia is seeking an Engineering Technician to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro‑mechanical systems and specialized test equipment. You will follow schematics, perform fault isolation, and assist in remedying malfunctions to sustain high‑quality engineering outcomes.

You will work on system and component level testing, collaborate with development engineers, and support test equipment construction and check‑out in a hybrid on‑site/remote

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related work experience.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with computer-based data systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work a shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
• Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
• Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry using test equipment and precision instruments.
• May conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, assist in remedying malfunctions.
• Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
• Use test equipment and diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Collaborates with development engineers to conduct engineering tests and collect data.
