Paradigm Aerospace Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (CNC Manufacturing) to lead the engineering and technical aspects of our CNC machining operations.
Unlike a conventional production management role, this position requires a strong technical expert who is highly experienced in CNC machine setup, CNC programming, machining processes, tooling selection, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
The successful candidate will serve as the company's technical leader for CNC manufacturing while also managing the engineering and production teams to ensure product quality, on-time delivery, manufacturing efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Candidates with experience in aerospace, precision engineering, medical devices, automotive, semiconductor, or other high-precision machining industries are highly encouraged to apply.
Lead CNC machining activities, including machine setup, programming, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
Provide technical guidance to improve machining accuracy, productivity, and process stability.
Review and optimize tooling, fixtures, machining strategies, and CNC programs.
Oversee daily CNC manufacturing operations to achieve Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI), production planning, and capacity improvement.
Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, scrap, and manufacturing costs.
Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions to enhance operational performance.
Lead, coach, and develop engineers, CNC programmers, supervisors, and production personnel.
Build a high-performance team with strong technical competency and a continuous improvement mindset.
Collaborate closely with Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure smooth production execution, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in CNC precision machining or manufacturing engineering.
At least 3-5 years in a leadership role managing engineering or CNC machining teams.
Strong experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
Extensive experience in CNC machine setup, CNC programming, process optimization, tooling selection, and troubleshooting.
Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam & SolidCAM, or similar is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, cutting tools, fixtures, machining parameters, and precision measurement.
Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing requirements and AS9100 quality systems is an added advantage.
