Job summary

Paradigm Aerospace Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an experienced Engineering Manager (CNC Manufacturing) to lead the engineering and technical aspects of our CNC machining operations. This role demands a strong technical expert who can set up, program, optimize processes, and drive tooling and troubleshooting.

You will steer daily production, mentor engineers and CNC programmers, and partner with Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery, high quality, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on CNC machining or manufacturing engineering.
• 3–5 years in a leadership role managing engineering or CNC machining teams.
• Strong experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
• Extensive experience in CNC machine setup, CNC programming, process optimization, tooling selection, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam or SolidCAM.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, cutting tools, fixtures, machining parameters, and precision measurement.
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing requirements and AS9100 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNC machining activities, including machine setup, programming, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical guidance to improve machining accuracy, productivity, and process stability.
• Review and optimize tooling, fixtures, machining strategies, and CNC programs.
• Oversee daily CNC manufacturing operations to achieve Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), production planning, and capacity improvement.
• Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, scrap, and manufacturing costs.
• Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions to enhance operational performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineers, CNC programmers, supervisors, and production personnel.
• Build a high-performance team with strong technical competency and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Collaborate closely with Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure smooth production execution, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery.
