Job summary

Private Advertiser in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an Engineering Manager (CAD/CAM) to lead all CAD/CAM activities within Engineering. You will oversee CNC programming, fixture design, process planning, and resource allocation to drive production efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

You’ll mentor CAD/CAM engineers, programmers, and machinists; establish SOPs, KPIs, and cost controls; and collaborate across Engineering, Production, Quality, and Customer Service to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or equivalent
• 15+ years machining experience in manufacturing
• 10+ years CAD/CAM programming experience with 5+ years supervisory/managerial experience
• Strong knowledge of 3-axis, 4-axis & 5-axis CNC milling/turning
• GD&T and blueprint reading proficiency
• Leadership and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead CAD/CAM team to ensure efficient programming and support for production
• Plan, prioritize and allocate resources to meet delivery schedules
• Establish KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain SOPs for CAD/CAM activities and document controls
• Oversee CNC programs, tooling design, and process plans
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Service to meet customer requirements
