Job summary

V.S. Industry Berhad is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee the manufacturing lifecycle from order kickoff to customer buy-off.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement and Quality to ensure milestones are met and parts flow smoothly. The role requires strong BOM/ECN control, manufacturing process know-how and a drive for continuous improvement in productivity, quality and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial, project or manufacturing engineering in electronics/semiconductor/equipment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, BOM management and ECN.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing lifecycle from order kickoff to final customer buy-off.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and suppliers to hit milestones.
• Ensure BOM accuracy and ECN implementation with proper documentation.
• Oversee assembly, testing to meet customer specs and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement for efficiency, quality and cost.
• Monitor progress and resolve manufacturing issues within budget.
• Lead Industrial Engineering team to achieve departmental goals.

Job description

• Lead the manufacturing lifecycle of semiconductor equipment from order kick-off, RFQ, procurement, assembly, testing and final customer buy-off.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and suppliers to ensure project milestones, quality requirements and delivery schedules are achieved.
• Manage BOM accuracy, ECN implementation, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation to support efficient production.
• Oversee equipment assembly, functional, electrical and software testing to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Monitor project progress, identify and resolve manufacturing issues, and ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
• Lead and support the Industrial Engineering team in achieving departmental objectives while fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, project management, or manufacturing engineering within the electronics, semiconductor or equipment manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, plant layout, assembly operations, BOM management and engineering change control (ECN).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and industrial automation will be an advantage.
