Job summary

Compart Systems Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams, align strategies with business goals, and drive performance across manufacturing and process systems.

Job description

Lead and oversee multiple engineering teams, ensuring strategic alignment and operational efficiency.

Develop and drive high-level engineering strategies, policies, and best practices to enhance company-wide performance.

Managing and maintaining business process systems, ensuring process standards, procedures, and specifications are in place.

Manage large-scale engineering projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely execution.

Collaborate with senior leadership to define long-term engineering goals and innovation strategies.

Ensuring the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively.

Evaluates potential projects with oversight from other team members against selection criteria, reviews project activities for progress and roadblocks, conducts tollgate reviews, and works with stakeholders and others to remove roadblocks to success.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.

Provide executive-level technical guidance, mentorship, and succession planning for engineering leaders.

Drive continuous improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.

Oversee and optimize engineering budgets, resource planning, and capital investments.

Evaluate and implement advanced technologies to maintain competitive advantages in the industry.

Developing equipment to aid in the manufacturing process.

Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and excellence within the engineering organization.

Train and mentor junior engineers and staff on best practices.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive process improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field); Master's degree preferred.

Minimum 5-7 years of experiences as engineering manager / senior leadership position in engineering roles.

Proven track record in strategic planning, large-scale project management, and technology innovation.

Strong leadership, change management, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in engineering software, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.

Excellent problem-solving, risk management, and analytical abilities.

Strong executive communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Deep knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and other advanced process improvement methodologies.

Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and global engineering teams.

Familiarity with international industry regulations, compliance standards, and emerging technologies.
