Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan GMRecruitment Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of semiconductor equipment projects in Senai, Johor. You will collaborate across Engineering, Production, Procurement and Quality to ensure milestones, quality standards and timely delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering within electronics or equipment manufacturing, with strong BOM/ECN control, lean handling and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in industrial engineering, project management or manufacturing engineering, preferably in electronics/semiconductor/equipment manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, plant layout, assembly operations, BOM management and ECN control.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies and industrial automation is a plus.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work in Senai, Johor.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end manufacturing lifecycle of semiconductor equipment from project kick-off to final customer buy-off.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and suppliers to meet milestones, quality and delivery timelines.
• Ensure accurate BOM management, ECN, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Oversee equipment assembly, testing (functional, electrical, software) to meet customer specs.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, productivity, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Track project progress and coordinate corrective actions to keep projects on time and budget.
• Lead and support Industrial Engineering team to achieve departmental goals and operational excellence.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and suppliers to ensure project milestones, quality standards and delivery timelines are met.
• Ensure accurate BOM management, ECN implementation, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation to support smooth production operations.
• Oversee equipment assembly, functional, electrical and software testing to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Track project progress, identify manufacturing issues and coordinate corrective actions to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Lead and support the Industrial Engineering team in achieving departmental goals and promoting operational excellence.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, project management or manufacturing engineering, preferably within the electronics, semiconductor or equipment manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, plant layout, assembly operations, BOM management and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) control.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies and industrial automation will be an added advantage.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work in Senai, Johor.
