Job summary

JoonHee Micron Sdn Bhd in Port Klang, Selangor is seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to drive new opportunities in engineering and project management. This full-time role requires you to work autonomously while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to grow revenue and build strategic partnerships.

You will manage existing accounts, prepare quotations for metal and plastic components, and coordinate with costing, engineering and logistics to ensure pricing feasibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within engineering or project management sectors
• Strong understanding of project management principles and engineering industry practices
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and develop actionable business strategies
• Strong negotiation and contract management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and business development goals
• Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English; additional language skills (Malay, Mandarin) are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage existing customer accounts, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 requirements.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for both metal and plastic components.
• Coordinate with internal departments (costing, engineering, logistics) to validate quotation feasibility and pricing.
• Attend customer meetings for commercial discussions, new RFQ briefings, and ongoing follow-ups.
• Oversee the commercial aspects of new projects from quotation approval through to the first mass production (MP) delivery.
• Source and evaluate supplier quotations for new projects to ensure cost competitiveness.
