JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Management

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and carpenters, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering team, setting clear objectives and priorities aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of new products and prototypes, ensuring manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.

Collaborate with senior management to define and execute the company's engineering and technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Technology and Innovation

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation in product design, manufacturing processes, and materials.

Process Optimization

Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, quality, and throughput while minimizing waste and downtime.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Establish and maintain quality standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Oversee the development and implementation of robust quality control measures and operational processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, and implement these measures to monitor product quality throughout the production process, identifying and addressing any deviations or issues.

Talent Development and Management

Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, empowering them to reach their full potential and contribute to the success of the organization.

Project Management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with at least 3 years work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the furniture industry.

Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes, including CAD/CAM software, CNC machining, and materials science.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Solid understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
