Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a quality-focused Engineer Change Coordinator in Penang to analyze and execute ECNs, support NPI, and drive process improvements. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams and maintaining accurate documentation for customer releases.

You will lead ECN implementation planning, review change orders, and ensure timely updates in customer systems, while adhering to quality procedures and conducting periodic ECN performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for analysis and execution of Engineering Change Notices and data as per WI and Procedure.
• Supports new product introduction, process improvements, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities (LEAN Kaizen).
• Drives and/or performs change updates in relevant customer system on timely manner to support engineering changes.
• Serves as Customer Interface ensuring accuracy by reviewing product release documents for completeness, proper authorization and system updates.
• Determine appropriate collaborators based upon change order content and facilitates change with process owner to establish readiness for ECN implementation.
• Coordinate meetings to ensure regular review of ECN movement throughout the process.
• Develop feasible plan of change and advise customer of the implementation of ECN’s and Deviation.
• Maintain ownership over the execution of the ECN implementation plan.
• Ensure all Task owners completed required action for ECN implementation prior build.
• Coordinate the closure or Build Verification.
• Take an interface role during internal and external audit ECN topics.

Receive and interpret product-related information from customer. Responsible in maintenance of ECN’s, BOM’s, and related customer information as required.

Upload BOMs to system (SAP /MES).

The Superior can assign other job-related duties within scope of practice beside the above mentioned to the coordinator.

Job Description

• Serves as Customer Interface ensures accuracy by reviewing product release documents for completeness, proper authorization and system updates. Compare new customer documentation with previous revisions (for changes/ discrepancies).
• Determine appropriate collaborators based upon change order content & Facilitates change with process owner. (e.g. Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineer, Test Engineer, Quality Engineer, Inventory Analyst, Business & etc) to establish the readiness in the implementation of ECN.
• Coordinate meetings to ensure regular review of ECN movement throughout the process.
• Develop feasible plan of change & advise customer of the implementation of ECN’s & Deviation.
• Maintain ownership over the execution of the ECN implementation plan.
• Ensure that all Task owners completed all required action for ECN implementation prior build.
• Coordinate the closure or Build Verification.
• Take an interface role during internal and external audit ECN topics.
• Advice customer of BOM’s inaccuracies detected. Attain written approval for any subsequent changes.
• Regular ECN review meeting with customer.
• Publishing weekly and monthly reports of workcell ECN performance in accordance to established standards.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities within the engineering change coordinator scope.
• Adhere to all safety, security and health rules and regulations.
• Understand and Comply with Change Management procedures and work instruction within quality system requirement.
• Consistently achieve goal set in change management key performance indicator (KPI).

General Requirement

Job Qualification

• Must be proficient with windows based, software applications. Customer oriented with strong interface skills and a general understanding of a manufacturing environment.
