Job summary

BAC Asia seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead manufacturing operations in Negeri Sembilan. The role focuses on optimizing processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring quality and efficiency across the production line.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering on fixtures, conducting cost analyses, overseeing NPI progress, and maintaining ERP data to support operations. Strong Mandarin and English communication is required.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent in Mechanical Manufacturing, Automation, IE or related field.
• Three years’ experience in a manufacturing manager or supervisor role.

Responsibilities

• Compile and review manufacturing processes, assist in fixture design and development, and approve relevant technical documents.
• Lead product technical reviews and communicate feedback on technical information; follow up actions.
• Formulate, review, and implement department management systems.
• Build and guide the team to elevate capability and performance.
• Conduct cost analysis, estimation, and cost control to improve efficiency.
• Manage NPI and track manufacturing progress; resolve issues.
• Improve production processes to enhance efficiency and product quality during mass production.
• Approve and sort all technical documents; establish comprehensive technical standards.
• Drive CI initiatives focusing on cost saving, TPM, OEE, and visual control; reduce lead times.
• Set KPI expectations for team and coach subordinates to sustain continuous improvement.
• Ensure plant equipment capacity and capability meet customer expectations.
• Maintain ERP (SAP) data to support smooth manufacturing flow.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures; promote proactive health and safety culture.

• Responsible for the compile and review of manufacturing process, assisting in the design and development of fixtures as well as the compile and approval of relevant technical documents.
• Responsible for product technical review, technical communication and feedback the related technical information and follow-up.
• Responsible for formulating, reviewing and implementing department management system.
• Responsible for establishing and improving the team, guiding the employees and improving the team level.
• Responsible for cost analysis, cost estimation and cost control.
• Responsible for the management of NPI and follow up manufacturing progress and solve all kinds of problems.
• According to the situation of the mass production to improve and optimize the production process, production efficiency and the quality of product.
• Be responsible for approval and sorting of all technical documents and establish a comprehensive technical .
• Improve and Drive results on manufacturing relevant elements as manufacturing cost saving, TPM, OEE, visual control, flow manufacturing, manufacturing lead time etc.
• Set up expectations and KPI to direct reports and coach subordinators to ensure achievements of continuous improvement while managing manufacturing CI projects
• Take responsibility to ensure plant equipment capacity and capability meet customer expectations
• Ensure well maintain ERP(SAP) system data to support manufacturing flow smoothly
• Comply and follow procedures within company policy.
• Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace. Understands ergonomic concepts by applying Cummins ergonomic standards, guidelines, Control and tools to reduce ergonomic risk to employees while at work.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Required Attributes

• Strong knowledge of lean, IE and operations in industry. Integrates the pillars of industrial engineering techniques by applying comprehensive and quantitative analysis to available data to be used as decision factors for the development or improvement of manufacturing processes to contribute to the most efficient process.
• Strong knowledge of automation equipment introducing and planning
• Proven CI programs achievements on productivity and cost saving, demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical ability and proven problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills of both of Mandarin and English
• Result and customer oriented
• Be strongly creative and innovative mindset
• Strong skills of MS office, AutoCAD preferred

Education / Experience Requirements:

• BS or equivalent above in Mechanical Manufacturing, Automation, IE or related industrial.
• Three years’ experience in a role of manufacturing manager or supervisor
