Job summary

UiTM Holdings is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead energy conservation projects, perform energy audits and M&V for energy efficiency, solar PV, or other renewables, and support management with project tasks.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, strong analytical and communication skills, leadership, and willingness to travel to site locations; flexibility and creativity are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power and energy conservation measures.
• Good engineering analytical and problem-solving criteria.

• Proven leadership skills with strong written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and focus on energy conservation projects and energy audits.
• Execute preliminary and detail energy audits and prepare energy saving proposals.
• Assist in due diligence to evaluate project risks and benefits.
• Assist in evaluating technologies, providers, and energy measures for identified projects.
• Draft and finalize project management scopes for EPCC, EPC, PPA and related contracts.
• Monitor OPEX & CAPEX budgets for implementation.
• Review and update technical documents and workflows.
• Support department business plans and liaise with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure energy projects are executed safely, on time, and per specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• To plan and focus on energy conservation projects. to plan, conduct, execute and deliver the Energy Audit and M&V for Energy Efficiency, Solar PV plant or any type of renewable energy sources and any relevant task as per Management requirement
• To execute and conduct preliminary, Detail technical energy audit, estimate & prepare energy saving proposal/report to the respective project and potential client.
• To assist and might be lead to conduct technical and commercial due diligence to evaluate potentials risks and benefits of each project investment.
• To assist in evaluate and recommend suitable technology, technology providers, solutions, energy measures and specifications for identified projects.
• To assist in Carry out drafting, finalization of project management scope for Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning (EPCC), Energy Performance Contracting (EPC), Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Technical Supply, O&M contracts and specifications and such other project contracts for contracted supplies and services required.
• To assist in preparing and close monitor cost for all OPEX & CAPEX approved for implementation and execution
• To Review and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows)
• To Support in department business plan. To liaison with cross functional department in securing the contract or approval.
• To ensure energy projects executed in timely, safe and per job specifications.
• To Liaise and meet with client, sub-contractor & local regulatory bodies.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
