Job summary

Premier Water Services Sdn Bhd is seeking an engineer to support product development, testing and commissioning for utility projects in Malaysia. The role involves collaboration with sales and engineering teams and requires strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

You will monitor project progress, liaise with clients and vendors, and ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout the lifecycle of each project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required with relevance to electrical or electronics fields.
• Experience in technical development, projects execution or engineering in utility or energy sectors preferred.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control, project coordination and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (MS Project, Primavera a plus).
• Ability to work independently and travel to project sites as needed.
• Knowledge of IT, networking and cloud concepts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support product development, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Support sales and engineering efforts for projects and sales activities.
• Provide technical support throughout project lifecycle from planning to commissioning.
• Monitor pilot/POC/project progress and report deviations against schedule.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and vendors to resolve technical issues per specs.
• Prepare technical documentation and progress reports for stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing proposals, including technical submissions and cost estimation.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety regulations and company standards.
• Monitor usage of project consumables, equipment and tools; coordinate procurement and maintenance.
• Attend technical meetings, site inspections and commissioning activities as technical lead.
• Handle claims and warranty with prompt customer response.

• Monitor and track pilot/POC/project progress, ensuring milestones are met according to the project schedule and reporting any deviations.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and principal vendors to resolve technical issues, ensuring alignment with project specifications and standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and progress reports, including weekly/monthly updates for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, including technical submissions, scope clarifications, and cost estimation support.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety regulations, and company standards during all phases of project implementation.
• Monitor usage and availability of project consumables, equipment, and tools, coordinating procurement and maintenance as required.
• Attend technical meetings, site inspections, and commissioning activities, acting as the technical point of contact.
• Responsible for claim and warranty with immediate response to customer requirements.
