Job summary

Northern Solar is seeking a Project Engineer to drive end-to-end solar projects in Malaysia. You will conduct site visits, supervise on-site work, and coordinate with design, construction teams and contractors to meet schedules and quality standards.

You will liaise with local authorities and provide technical input at site meetings, make recommendations based on conditions, and manage documentation while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant project engineering experience.
• Experience in solar energy is an advantage.
• Good time management and planning; own transport and willingness to travel.

• Perform site visits for necessary report preparation.

• Collaborate with design, construction teams, and contractors to meet timelines.
• Provide technical support during site meetings.
• Make technical recommendations based on site conditions.

• Deal with Seda/TNB/ST and related applications with local authorities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Involved in end-to-end Solar project management:

• Perform site visits for necessary report preparation
• On-Site supervision to ensure project is delivered in the committed schedule
• Work with Design team/construction team/contractors to deliver the project on-time
• Provide Technical Support during site meeting
• Make technical recommendations based on site condition
• Liaise with related project consultant & consumer
• Deliver Project as per schedule & quality control as per specification
• Deal with local authority Seda/TNB/ST for related application
• Perform any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience for Project Engineer position
• Experience in Solar Energy Industry will be added advantage
• Good Time Management & PlanningPossess own transport & willing to heavy traveling
