Job summary

Top Glove, Malaysia, seeks a Maintenance Planner/Engineer to plan and schedule maintenance activities, coordinating with Engineering, Production, and other departments to ensure uptime and reliability.

The role involves preparing drawings and specifications, developing SOPs, troubleshooting breakdowns, and maintaining technical records. English and Bahasa Melayu proficiency are required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Mechatronic Engineering or related from reputable universities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance activities for maintenance staff and workers.
• Coordinate maintenance projects closely with the Maintenance Engineer, Production, Compounding, and Chlorination departments.
• Prepare project drawings, specifications, and procure the required materials.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and prepare technical reports.
• Liaise with suppliers on machine design, installation, maintenance services, and technical support.
• Design, install, and improve equipment used to control and monitor factory processes, systems, and machinery.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects, including budget preparation and cost control.
• Ensure equipment installation and operations comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements.
• Operate, inspect and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain engineering documentation by tracking design modifications and updating technical records.

What we are looking for:

• 01) Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Mechatronic Engineering or related from reputable universities.
• 02) Good command of English & Bahasa Melayu (spoken and written). [Mandarin is a plus]
• 03) Results oriented, strong follow up and good negotiation skills.
