Job summary

Top Glove is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer to ensure rules are followed and a safe workplace is maintained. You will operate and monitor IETS systems, track monthly performance, and ensure regulatory discharge standards are met.

Fresh graduates are welcome; in-house training is provided. English proficiency and ability to work independently in an industrial plant environment are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related wastewater treatment studies.
• CePIETSO certificate qualifications are an added advantage.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Results oriented with strong follow-up and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EHS rules are followed and maintain a safe workplace.
• Operate and monitor effluent treatment systems (IETS).
• Track and report monthly IETS performance.
• Ensure discharge complies with regulatory standards.
• Plan and carry out maintenance for IETS equipment.
• Assist in implementing ISO 14001/quality systems and related projects.

Your Mission:

Ensure EHS rules are followed and maintain a safe workplace

Operate and monitor effluent treatment systems (IETS)

Track and report monthly IETS performance

Ensure discharge complies with regulatory standards

Plan and carry out maintenance for IETS equipment

Implement ISO 14001 / quality systems

Support setup or upgrade / troubleshooting of IETS systems

Liaise with authorities on environmental matters

Manage vendors and outsourced services

Assist in scrubber performance monitoring system.

Follow up and update the daily consumption of caustic soda and chlorine gas.

Assist in projects related to chlorination department.

Assist in collecting data related to chlorination department.

Shall take additional responsibility as instructed by the immediate superior, when required.

What we are looking for:

1. 01) Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or any related involving wastewater treatment studies from reputable universities.
2. 02) CePIETSO certificate qualifications is an added advantage.
3. 03) Good command of English language (spoken and written).
4. 04) Results oriented, strong follow up and good negotiation skills.
