Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc in Penang is seeking an Engineer, GEL to monitor and optimize semiconductor equipment, lead troubleshooting and RCA, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to deploy corrective actions and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
• Experience with manufacturing, semiconductor, or automated production equipment.
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, RCA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in AI-powered productivity tools and data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field!


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills!


• Experience with manufacturing, semiconductor, or automated production equipment.


• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, RCA, and continuous improvement methodologies.


• Proficiency in AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power BI AI features, predictive analytics tools) and ability to leverage data-driven insights for problem-solving, automation, and operational improvement.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments.


• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Digital Twin, IoT, or advanced automation technologies.


• Experience applying AI or machine learning techniques for equipment monitoring, predictive maintenance, or process optimization.


• Project management and leadership experience.
