Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to monitor and optimize semiconductor manufacturing equipment in Penang. You will lead RCA, develop corrective actions, and drive uptime, yield, and cost improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with advanced manufacturing equipment. You will apply AI and automation to enhance operations, train technicians, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics, mechatronics or manufacturing engineering.
• A strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing or automated production equipment.
• Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, DOE, RCA and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of AI-powered productivity tools and data-driven problem solving.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with manufacturing, semiconductor, or automated production equipment.
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, RCA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power BI AI features, predictive analytics tools) and ability to leverage data-driven insights for problem-solving, automation, and operational improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Digital Twin, IoT, or advanced automation technologies.
• Experience applying AI or machine learning techniques for equipment monitoring, predictive maintenance, or process optimization.
• Project management and leadership experience.
