Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Equipment Technician in Penang, Malaysia.

The role involves troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment, performing maintenance, and supporting ramp-up of manufacturing lines in a world-leading memory and storage solutions company. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with 1+ year of relevant experience, strong teamwork and communication skills, and familiarity with manufacturing systems and AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or AI applications is a plus.
• Experience with Generative AI or AI-enabled tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing processes.
• Disassemble, adjust, repair and reassemble equipment per plans and manuals.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required by engineers.
• Assist with equipment modifications and with ramp-up support.
• Support uptime, perform PMs, and handle setup/buyoff of equipment.
• Manage spare parts, tools and meters inventory.

Responsibilities:

Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process

Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings

• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up
• Responsible for sustain equipment uptime, with hand on trouble shooting on the equipment
• Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion
• Work on spare part/tools/meters management

Requirements:-

• Diploma in mechanical engineering & Electronic/Electrical Engineering
• Highly motivated individuals with more than1 year working experience are encouraged to apply!
• Good understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes. In-depth knowledge & hands on experience will be a plus point.
• A good teammate equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or Artificial Intelligenceapplications is a plus.
• Experience using Generative AI,AI Assistant, or other AI-Enabledtools is preferred.
