Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Test Equipment Technician to troubleshoot electromechanical manufacturing equipment. You will dismantle, repair, assemble and test complex tools, supporting uptime and throughput on the production floor.

The role requires a diploma in mechanical or electronic/electrical engineering, with 1+ year of experience preferred. Strong teamwork and communication are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical or electronic/electrical engineering.
• 1+ year of working experience encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with semiconductor testing equipment processes is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or AI applications is a plus.
• Experience using Generative AI or AI-enabled tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues in non-functioning equipment used in manufacturing.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per plans and manuals.
• Perform checkouts with test and diagnostic equipment; rebuild equipment as needed.
• Support equipment transfer, setup, buyoff and manufacturing ramp-up.
• Maintain equipment uptime through hands-on troubleshooting and PMs.
• Handle spare parts, tools and meters management as assigned.
• Support upgrades and conversions of equipment as directed by engineers.

Responsibilities

Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process

Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings

• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up
• Responsible for sustain equipment uptime, with hand on trouble shooting on the equipment
• Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion
• Work on spare part/tools/meters management

Requirements

• Diploma in mechanical engineering & Electronic/Electrical Engineering
• Highly motivated individuals with more than1 year working experience are encouraged to apply!
• Good understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes. In-depth knowledge & hands on experience will be a plus point.
• A good teammate equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or Artificial Intelligenceapplications is a plus.
• Experience using Generative AI,AI Assistant, or other AI-Enabledtools is preferred.
