Job summary

Leighton Asia is seeking an Engineer (ELV / Extra Low Voltage Systems) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role involves designing, coordinating, and integrating ELV systems with FAS, ACS, Security, ICT, PAVA and lifts, and coordinating with MEP teams and suppliers.

The candidate should hold a relevant engineering degree and have at least 3 years of ELV experience, with BIM coordination experience preferred. This on-site position offers exposure to high-profile infrastructure projects in the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Building Services, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of ELV design, coordination or implementation experience.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, mission-critical or data centre projects is an advantage.
• Experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of ELV systems.
• Coordinate design and integration of FAS, ACS, Security, ICT, PAVA, and Lift/VT systems.
• Coordinate ELV systems with MEP subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate design development with local and international consultants, designers and contractors.
• Review design drawings and submittals and participate in BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Support testing, commissioning, system integration and handover activities.

Job Duties

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of ELV systems.
• Coordinate the design and integration of Fire Alarm System (FAS), Access Control System (ACS), Security Systems, ICT Systems, PAVA Systems, and Lift/Vertical Transportation Systems.
• Coordinate and integrate ELV systems with MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Coordinate design development with local and international consultants, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Review Material Submission Approvals (MSA) and technical submittals.
• Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection activities.
• Support testing, commissioning, system integration, and project handover activities.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ELV design, coordination, or implementation.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, mission-critical, or data centre projects is an added advantage.
• Experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project environments is preferred.
