Job summary

Leighton Asia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, invites qualified engineers to join as an Engineer (BAMS). You will assist in the design, development and integration of BAMS architecture and control systems across building services.

Key tasks include reviewing drawings, validating I/O lists, coordinating with MEP systems, and ensuring compatibility of BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, OPC, MQTT and TCP/IP. BIM coordination and multidisciplinary reviews are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in BMS/BAMS design, coordination, or implementation.
• Experience in data centre, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities is an added advantage.
• Experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and implementation of BAMS architecture and control systems.
• Review BAMS drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
• Develop, review, and validate I/O lists for controls and monitoring systems.
• Coordinate integration between BAMS and various building systems including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Fire Protection, Security, and other related systems.
• Review and coordinate various communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, OPC, MQTT, and TCP/IP.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Coordinate system interfaces and resolve clashes with MEP subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
• Review Material Submission Approvals (MSA) and technical submissions.

Job Duties

• Develop, review, and validate I/O (Input/Output) lists for controls and monitoring systems.
• Coordinate integration between BAMS and various building systems including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Fire Protection, Security, and other related systems.
• Review and coordinate various communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, OPC, MQTT, and TCP/IP.

Job Requirements
