Job summary

Leighton Asia is seeking an ELV Engineer (Extra Low Voltage Systems) in Selangor, Malaysia. You will assist in ELV design, coordinate integration of FAS, ACS, Security, ICT and PAVA systems, and work with MEP teams and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications or related building services field with at least 3 years in ELV design or coordination; BIM coordination experience is preferred, supporting testing and handover

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications or related building services field.
• Minimum 3 years of ELV design, coordination or implementation experience.
• Experience in BIM coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of ELV systems.
• Coordinate design and integration of FAS, ACS, Security, ICT, PAVA, and lifts.
• Coordinate ELV with MEP subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate with consultants and designers on design development.
• Review drawings, shop drawings and submittals; participate in BIM clash detection.
• Support testing, commissioning, system integration and handover activities.

Job Duties

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of ELV systems.
• Coordinate the design and integration of Fire Alarm System (FAS), Access Control System (ACS), Security Systems, ICT Systems, PAVA Systems, and Lift/Vertical Transportation Systems.
• Coordinate and integrate ELV systems with MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Coordinate design development with local and international consultants, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Review Material Submission Approvals (MSA) and technical submittals.
• Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection activities.
• Support testing, commissioning, system integration, and project handover activities.
  

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ELV design, coordination, or implementation.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, mission-critical, or data centre projects is an added advantage.
• Experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project environments is preferred.
