Job summary

Leighton Asia invites high-calibre candidates to fill the Engineer (BAMS) position in KL, Malaysia.

You will assist in the design, development, and implementation of BAMS architecture and control systems, review drawings, and coordinate integration with MEP and other building systems. Strong BIM coordination experience and knowledge of communication protocols are required. Experience in data centres or mission-critical facilities is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in BMS/BAMS design, coordination, or implementation.
• Experience in data centre, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities is an added advantage.
• Experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of BAMS architecture and control systems.
• Review BAMS design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
• Develop, review, and validate I/O (Input/Output) lists for controls and monitoring systems.
• Coordinate integration between BAMS and various building systems including MEP, Fire Protection, Security, and other related systems.
• Review communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, OPC, MQTT, and TCP/IP.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Coordinate system interfaces and resolve clashes with MEP subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
• Review Material Submission Approvals (MSA) and technical submissions.
