Job summary

Dürr Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Engineer to join our automotive automation team in Malaysia. You will develop electrical and electronic systems, design circuits, and contribute to robotic projects across the development and implementation phases.

The role requires hands-on programming, fault diagnosis, and collaboration with project managers, technicians, and other engineers to deliver high‑quality, safe, and reliable systems that meet performance targets and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics / Mechatronic / Electrical / Electronic Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Industrial exposure in automation / robotic / control systems system design, development, and implementation.
• Proficient in robotic programming (C language, C++, Python, MATLAB, ROS, or similar).
• Hands-on programming and troubleshooting experience with robotic hardware, actuators, sensors, pneumatics, control systems and PLC
• Knowledgeable in networking or robot communication systems (EtherNet/IP & PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, CAN bus / CANopen or similar).
• Good understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, motion control, electrical theory.
• Familiar with 3D or CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar) and E-plan (Electrical Circuit diagram).
• Experience with automotive paint & sealing advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and electronic systems, circuits, and robotic components in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct technical analysis, feasibility studies, and simulations to evaluate system performance and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, technicians, and other engineers to ensure successful delivery.
• Conduct machine sequence verification, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical and electronic systems to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders as required.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure adherence to engineering best practices and company procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovative solutions to enhance product and service quality.

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Robotics / Mechatronic / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or any related engineering discipline from a recognised institution.

Industrial exposure in automation / robotic / control systems system design, development, and implementation development.

Proficient in robotic programming (C language, C++, Python, MATLAB, ROS, or similar).

Hands-on programming and troubleshooting experience with robotic hardware, actuators, sensors, pneumatics, control systems and Programmable Logic Control (PLC)

Knowledgeable networking or robot communication system (EtherNet/IP & PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, CAN bus / CANopen or similar)

Good understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, and motion control, electrical theory

Basic familiarity with 3D or CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar) and E-plan (Electrical Circuit diagram)

Experiences with automotive paint & sealing will be advantageous.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical challenges and develop practical solutions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment including working on Public Holiday(s) and odd hours
