Job summary

Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Berhad is seeking a hands-on robotics technician to install, calibrate and maintain automated systems. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and software issues, program tasks, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure high uptime.

Collaborate with design engineers to upgrade systems and train staff on proper operation. The role requires a Diploma or equivalent, with preference for robotic/mechatronics degrees and prior robotics experience.

Qualifications

A Diploma or equivalent is required, but a technical degree in robotics, mechatronics or related field is preferred.
Prior experience in robotics maintenance or similar technical role is highly desirable.
Certification in robotics technology or specific robotics is a plus.
Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems is beneficial.
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of robotics technology and principles.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and calibrate robotic system and equipment.
Monitor and maintain robotic system to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with robotic system, including mechanical, electrical and software problems.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance to enhance longevity and reliability.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to modify and improve robotic system as needed.
Program and reprogram robotic system to perform specific task and meet operational requirements.
Conduct testing and debugging of robotic system to identify and resolve issues.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and modifications.
Train staff on operation and maintenance of robotic systems.
Stay updated with the latest robotics advancements and identify opportunities for improvement.

About you

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety protocols

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with engineers, designers and others team members
