Job summary

1Borneo Residence Sdn Bhd is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to patrol residential properties, monitor CCTV and alarms, and respond to emergencies. You will enforce rules, assist residents and guests, and manage access control to ensure safety and order.

Candidate should have at least 1–2 years in security, a clean background, and be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Immediate commencement and opportunities to contribute to building a secure community are offered.

Qualifications

• Higher Secondary/STPM/'A' Level/Pre-U required.
• 1-2 years of experience in Security/Enforcement (surveillance, incident reporting, emergency response).
• Clean background free of criminal activity is essential.
• Willing to perform other general tasks; conversant in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Patrol residential properties and monitor safety; operate CCTV and fire alarm systems.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; provide first-aid or assistance while waiting for services.
• Enforce residential rules; assist residents and guests with information and directions.
• Provide access control at property entrances and vehicle gates; secure all exits and doors.
• Record and report suspicious activities to authorities; monitor activity around the residence.
• Maintain daily log of shift activities.
• Respond to emergencies quickly and calmly; handle security breaches or threats.
• Communicate effectively with residents, guests, and law enforcement; document incidents.
• Maintain physical fitness and endurance for patrol duties.
• Understand security systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment; troubleshoot alerts.
• Interpersonal skills to maintain professional conduct with residents.
• Problem-solving to resolve security issues promptly.
• Know security protocols to ensure safety and security of the residence.
• Assist administration or other departments as required, including handling parcels.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Patrol Residential Properties and Monitor activities to ensure Resident and Property Safety; Monitor and operate CCTV cameras and fire alarm systems.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances to resolve issues; Respond to emergencies and provide first-aid or assistance while waiting for emergency services.
• Enforce residential rules and regulations to maintain discipline and ensure safety; Provide assistance to Residents and Guests for information and directions.
• Provide access control at Property Entrances and Vehicle Gates; Secure all Buildings Exits and Doors.
• Record and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities; Strong observational skills to monitor and report any suspicious activity around the Residence.
• Maintain daily log of activities during the shift.
• Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and calmly, efficiently handling any security breaches or threats.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with Residents, Guests, and Law Enforcement, as well as to document and report incidents.
• Physical fitness and endurance for patrol duties, standing for long periods, and potentially handling physical confrontations.
• Understanding of security systems, alarm devices, and surveillance equipment to monitor, troubleshoot, and respond to alerts.
• Interpersonal skills to build trust with Residents and maintain a professional manner at all times.
• Problem-solving skills to quickly assess and resolve security issues.
• Knowledge of security protocols and regulations to ensure the safety and security of the Residence.
• To provide assistance to Administration or other departments when required, including receiving and handling over of Resident’s Parcels.

Qualifications, Experiences & Requirements:

• 1. Higher Secondary/STPM/'A' Level/Pre-U;
• 2. At least 1-2 years of working experience in the Security/Enforcement industry such as surveillance systems operation, incident report writing, emergency response or any other equivalent.
• 3. A clean background free of criminal activity is essential.
• 4. Willing to perform other general tasks assigned; Able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Pleasant Personality and Good Coordination.
