Job summary

Omya Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. seeks a payments professional to manage daily Purchase-2-Pay tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with service levels and financial close timelines.

You will resolve blocked payments and posting discrepancies, coordinate with Treasury, and monitor KPIs. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, data integrity, and collaboration across P2-Pay and related processes, with opportunities to apply automation and AI-driven enhancements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of end-to-end payment processes and AP workflows.
• Experience in payments processing or Treasury operations preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy in financial postings.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily Purchase-2-Pay activities in line with service levels and closing timelines.
• Handle blocked payments, incorrect postings and supplier payment queries.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and SLAs; take corrective actions.
• Liaise with Treasury on payment matters at operational level; ensure timely follow-up.
• Escalate recurring issues to Team Lead.
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement within Purchase-2-Pay.
• Provide operational input to enhance processes; apply new work instructions and tools.
• Submit improvement ideas to backlog; participate in pilots, testing and training.
• Explore AI tools and automation to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
• Create payment proposals accurately and on time; execute payment runs.
• Perform payment reconciliation with Treasury; ensure accuracy of postings.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of payment processing within scope.
• Identify and resolve payment exceptions or escalate as needed.
• Engage with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery; collaborate with Treasury on cash management.
