Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking an ELV Engineer to design and coordinate Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for commercial and infrastructure projects in Malaysia. The role involves preparing engineering designs, supporting project delivery, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control, or related Engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in ELV engineering and design for building projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of Malaysian engineering standards (UBBL, SPAN, ASHRAE).
• Graduate Engineer / Engineering Technologist registered under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or Technologist under MBOT.

Responsibilities

• Design ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, PA System, Nurse Call, Audio Visual, Fire Alarm, and Building Management Systems.
• Design High Voltage Electrical System (11kV and 33kV).
• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Develop BOQs and project cost estimates.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Attend project meetings and conduct site inspections.
• Review shop drawings and technical submissions.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

• Develop BOQs and project cost estimates.

Requirements

• Graduate Engineer / Engineering Technologist registered under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or Technologist under the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT).
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control, or related Engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in ELV engineering and design for building projects.
• Able to produce Electrical and ELV Bill of Quantities, Electrical and ELV budgetary cost estimates, etc.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of Malaysian engineering standards (UBBL, SPAN, ASHRAE).
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of Revit or BIM.
• Experience in consultancy or building services projects.
