Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced ELV Design Lead to guide the technical direction for ELV systems in hyperscale and colocation data centre projects. The role focuses on leading design reviews, developing standards, and ensuring compliant, reliable infrastructure across complex facilities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in ELV design within mission-critical environments and strong leadership to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of ELV system design experience.
• Strong background in data centres, mission-critical facilities, telecoms or large-scale intelligent buildings.
• Proven track record delivering projects from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and design expertise for ELV systems across hyperscale and colocation data centre projects.
• Develop and standardize ELV design standards, technical specifications and engineering best practices.
• Review and oversee ELV systems including structured cabling, fibre networks, BMS, EPMS, DCIM, CCTV, access control and other ELV infrastructure.
• Review and validate design deliverables for compliance with standards, client requirements and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate design changes and emerging technologies to improve reliability, scalability and efficiency.
• Support RFPs, tender evaluations, and technical due diligence with ELV expertise.
• Conduct design QA reviews, technical audits, and commissioning validations.
• Collaborate with CSA, MEP, IT, Security, Operations, consultants and contractors for integrated solutions.

• Review and oversee ELV systems including structured cabling, fibre networks, BMS, EPMS, DCIM, CCTV, access control, PAGA, physical security and other critical ELV infrastructure.
• Review and validate design deliverables to ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, operational objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate design changes, value engineering proposals and emerging technologies to improve system reliability, scalability, security and operational efficiency.
• Support RFPs, tender evaluations, technical due diligence and customer engagements by providing ELV technical expertise.
• Conduct design quality assurance reviews, technical audits, construction document reviews and commissioning validations.
• Collaborate with CSA, MEP, IT, Security, Operations, consultants and contractors to deliver integrated and resilient data centre solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in ELV system design and engineering.
• Strong experience in data centres, mission-critical facilities, telecommunications or large-scale intelligent buildings.
• Proven experience delivering projects from concept design through commissioning.
• Strong experience working with design consultants, developers, contractors and operators.
• Experience in developing technical standards, specifications and engineering best practices is preferred.
• Prior experience in hyperscale or colocation data centre projects is highly desirable.
• Strong technical leadership, design review and stakeholder management skills.
