Job summary

The Prestige Hotel is seeking an experienced AV Technician to install, configure and maintain audiovisual systems across the property, including projectors, screens, sound and video conferencing gear. You will support events, perform preventative maintenance and keep thorough documentation.

You’ll work with event teams, vendors and hotel staff to ensure flawless presentations, while staying current with new AV technologies and industry best practices. A positive, proactive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as an AV Technician or similar role in hospitality, events or entertainment.
• Strong knowledge of audiovisual systems including projectors, screens, sound and lighting.
• Proficiency in installing, configuring and troubleshooting AV equipment and networking basics.
• Excellent problem-solving and clear communication with non-technical staff and guests.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by events.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain audiovisual equipment across the hotel.
• Troubleshoot AV issues promptly to minimise downtime and service disruptions.
• Provide on-site technical support during events to ensure flawless presentations.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Design and implement AV solutions tailored to events and functions.
• Train hotel staff and clients on AV operation as needed.
• Maintain documentation of AV systems and configurations.
• Manage inventory of AV equipment, cables and spare parts.
• Collaborate with event coordinators, hotel management and external vendors.
