Job summary

KONE Malaysia is seeking a Service Technician to join the Service Maintenance team in Georgetown. You will work with a small group of Field Service Specialists on fault calls, repairs, and maintenance runs for elevators and escalators. The role requires a service mindset, basic mechanical/electrical knowledge, and willingness to travel.

Own transport and a valid motorbike license are preferred. You will report to the Service Maintenance team and contribute to a safe, efficient service

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in elevator/escalator industry is an advantage.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge required.
• Service mindset and customer focus.
• Willingness to travel and valid motorbike license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out lift maintenance, repairs, and installation with fellow Field Service Specialists.
• Provide accurate, real-time back reporting of work performed.
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Manage daily workload with supervision as needed; ensure safety at all times.
• Assist with training/coaching as required by supervisor.
