Job summary

KONE Malaysia is seeking a Service Technician to join our Service Maintenance team in Johor Bahru. You will work in a small group of Field Service Specialists attending fault calls, completing escalator/elevator repairs, and servicing an allocated maintenance run.

3-5 years’ experience in elevator and escalator industry is required, with basic mechanical and electrical knowledge. You should be willing to travel, own transport, and hold a valid motorbike license.

• Familiarity with field service software via mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out lift maintenance, repairs, and installation in collaboration with team.
• Attend fault calls and service maintenance runs.
• Maintain real-time reporting of work performed to customers and supervisors.
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers.
• Ensure safety at all times and provide coaching at seniority as needed.

You will work in a small group of Field Service Specialists attending fault calls, completing escalator/elevator repairs, and servicing an allocated maintenance run. What will you be doing?

Carry out any work that's related to lift maintenance.

Responsible for accurate and real-time back reporting of work performed to ensure accuracy of customer notification.

Responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with customers.

Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation in collaboration with other Field Service Specialists.

Manages daily workload with minimal assistance from Supervisor.

Effective communication with all stakeholders.

Ensure safety at all times.

Depending on seniority, you may be required to give training/coaching to persons nominated by the supervisor.

Are you the one?

3-5 years’ experience in elevator and escalator industry.

Have a basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Possesses a service mindset.

Willing to travel.

Possesses own transport and valid motorbike license.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Have a basis digital foundation skill to use KONE system and application via mobile phone for work purpose.
