Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to cover sites in Puchong and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will maintain elevator and escalator units to ensure passenger safety and system reliability, following Otis maintenance programs and standards.

Ideal candidates hold minimum SPM with technical certificate, basic electrical/electronic/mechanical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot. Independent work style, customer-facing professionalism, and a valid motorcycle license are

Qualifications

Minimum SPM, preferably with a technical certificate.
Basic electrical, electronic and/or mechanical knowledge with 2 years of relevant experience.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
Familiar with elevator/lift and escalator operation.
Willing to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintain servicing, replacements, repairs and troubleshooting per the maintenance program and schedule.
Report abnormal findings to supervisor or engineer for action.
Ensure all work is documented with a customer-acknowledged job-sheet.
Respond to breakdowns promptly, prioritizing critical safety issues.
Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor/engineer.
May be required for 24-hour breakdown standby duties.
