Job summary

Tee Yih Jia Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru seeks a proactive Facilities & Maintenance person to oversee building operations, including coldrooms, and to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate contractors, optimize plant facilities, and respond to tenant inquiries efficiently.

The role requires 2–3 years in maintenance/electrical, with a relevant SKM diploma or diploma in electrical engineering; Mandarin communication is an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in maintenance and electrical.
• Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
• Knowledge in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration is an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for facilities management and operational activities.

• Handle ad-hoc works and projects as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for the facilities management and operational activities;

Devise and implement effective program to ensure optimal building's operations including coldroom/facility equipment's performance (preventive maintenance programs, service agreement with external service providers etc.);

Responsible for the overall smooth operation of the building, coldroom and ensures all emergencies are attended to promptly and rectified with minimal disruption and inconvenience;

Ensure all areas of the facility in the building comply with local regulation by conducting appropriate risk assessment and safety awareness;

Manage coordination of outsource contractors for Cleaning, Security, Pest Control and Waste Management;

Involve in the building's environmental, health and safety matters;

To attend to tenant's complaints and to answer all enquiries professionally and tactfully;

Perform routine inspection and maintenance of building facilities, cold rooms, including lighting and electrical systems;

Any other ad-hoc works/projects assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:-

Minimum 2 - 3 years of relevent working experience in maintenance and electrical.

Minimum Education : Vocational Certificate (SKM) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Knowledge in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration will be add advantage

Proficiency in English, Bahasa Cina and Bahasa Malaysia. We are seeking candidates proficient in Bahasa Cina to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work after office hours, and on weekend and public holidays, as assigned.
